  • Eric Sanderson

    Eric Sanderson started Harbor in 2016 in a small one room studio warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront. Prior to that Eric toured the world with his band Augustines, bringing his passion for music to audiences across the globe. Eric mentored under the guidance of Peter Katis.

    A multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, and writer, Eric brings a versatile, hands-on approach to every project. His adaptability has led to collaborations with a diverse range of artists, including Nicotine Dolls, Death Cab for Cutie, Wild Rivers, and The Philistines Jr. Beyond music, his work extends into film and visual arts, contributing to projects with Godfrey Reggio and Philip Glass and showcasing at Mercer Labs NYC.

  • Peter Tavoulareas

    Peter joined Harbor as an intern and has quickly proved himself as a talented and dedicated engineer. With a background as a musician, band member, and writer, he brings a deep understanding of the recording process from both sides of the glass. His kind, encouraging, and focused approach fosters a creative and comfortable studio environment, while his commitment to the craft has positioned him as one of NYC’s rising engineers to watch.

  • Olav Christensen - Mastering

    Originally from Denmark, Olav Christensen moved to Brooklyn in 2005, bringing with him a deep-rooted passion for music and sound.

    Guided in part by the teachings of mastering authority Ian Shepherd, Olav began honing his craft with a sharp ear and a dedication to sonic integrity. Since 2015, he has worked professionally as a mastering engineer, helping artists refine their sound and prepare their music for release.

    In 2020, Olav co-founded Prolificators with Rob Vondeheide—a genre-bending duo in which he writes, sings, plays guitar, and handles rhythm programming. The group is signed to East Broad Records and has released several albums to date.

    Olav was introduced to Eric and Harbor Studios when the facility opened at its Van Brunt Street location. He has since become a go-to mastering engineer for a variety of projects recorded there, bringing clarity and cohesion to the final stage of the production process.
